College Tam
A college tam is generally a round looking four, six or eight sided cap usually made of black, purple, red or blue velvet. It comes with either a bullion tassel or a colorful strand that are normally worn by post doctorate members of the faculty during the commencement ceremony. However faculty members with masters can also put on a six sided college tam which has a black tassel instead of the customary golden one worn by most doctorate members of the faculty.
